A personal message from the managing director

Welcome to ViRUSafe.

We have for so long now believed that clean is defined by what our eyes can see. The aim of ViRUSafe as a company is to open our eyes to the invisible contamination that is a threat to us on a daily basis.

ViRUSafe has taken many years researching and developing a new approach to the problems that face us with new hospital super bugs and the clear threat of a world flu pandemic through H5N1 (bird flu).

There is no magic pill that can solve any of these problems and although we wait for someone to shout EUREKA and make the problems go away for us this unfortunately is not going to happen. So what can be done? Who is to blame? These are two of the most popular questions that I am asked. Opening our eyes through training and education to the importance of basics of infection control has to be the first step, giving people the tools and information they need to make a difference to there own lives and businesses instead of playing the waiting game, is what I believe to be the way forward. Who is to blame? We all like to point the finger of blame at the hospitals when this question is asked. But realistically we are all to blame. We all hide away from the facts that the UK population has a 35% community acquired MRSA, and that our own abuse of antibiotics has made these infections become resistant to what is there to protect us. We try to hide away from what we cannot see although we know that it's all around us every day of our lives. Believing that this is not our problem and that it will all go away has now got to be viewed as we are doing nothing thus the finger of blame has to be pointed at every one.
